if you live in the Philadelphia area and love Chickie’s crab fries (don’t we all?), or love old bay seasoning in general, you’ve come to the right place. I still don’t know how I didn’t think of this before, but I created a healthy subsititute for crab (old bay seasoned) fries.
You can obviously make this recipe with potatoes for fries, or any other vegetables, but I love using cauliflower because it so easily takes on the flavor of a spice blend without having an overpowering natural flavor that competes with it.
Also, I love Primal Palate spices because they have delicious, all organic blends. This recipe can be made with classic Old Bay though too.
I did research Old Bay to make sure there were no crazy additives or MSGs and it seems to be just pure spices (YAY!). I hate when I find spice blends with MSGs, added sugars, citric acid, and other additives that just shouldn’t been in food. I’m so glad to hear Old Bay is not in that category!
✨ 1 chopped head cauliflower
✨ @primalpalate new bae seasoning (organic old bay!)
✨ avocado oil or melted ghee
✨toss it altogether and air fry it for 15-20 minutes at 380 degrees or roast in oven at 400 for 20-30 minutes (or until desired crispiness)
